There's a monthly bike meet at Popham Airfield every 2nd Sunday of each month throughout the year. Great destination for a rideout, people to meet, bikes to see and on 'fly in' days all sorts of aircraft to see. The "Bike Mega-meet and Jumble" held every August is a great day out
The airfield is “biker friendly” and this largely due to the fact that the airfield manager is a lifelong motorcyclist and encourages bikers to visit the airfield. On the Fly-In weekends – generally the second Sunday of each month – several bike clubs including the Ducati Sporting Club and the Suzuki SV Owners Club (http://www.sv-portal.com) meet at the airfield for a cuppa and chat and in August, the Bike Mega-meet and Jumble is one of the motorcycle Meets of the Year.
